Child education & career
What should your child study?
Before choosing Science, Commerce or Arts after Class 10, see what your child's kundli shows. The strongest planet in the education and career houses points to the field where the child will do best.
Astro Vastu
Vastu correction without demolition
Astro vastu reads your birth chart and your building together. A weak planet in your kundli points to the zone of your home or office that needs balancing. We correct it with placement, colour and simple remedies, not by breaking walls.

Entrance results follow the Shakti Chakra with 0° between N4 and N5. Measure with a good compass from the centre of the plot.
Vastu essentials
Dravya · Kshetra · Kaal · Bhaav
Resources, the right place, the right time and a strong intention. All four together give results.
Open North & East
Keep North and East open and light. Keep South and West heavy and high. Slope towards North-East is best.
Square or rectangle
Square and rectangular plots with a longer North–South axis are best for homes. A North-East extension is fortunate. Cuts bring problems.
Towards North-East
North = wealth, East = fame, North-East = best. South = serious problems, West = loss of wealth, South-West = health issues.
Check before you buy
Avoid T-junctions hitting the plot, dead ends, temple shadow, liquor shops, crematoriums and high-tension lines.
Keep the centre open
No toilet, pillar, staircase or heavy load in the centre. A courtyard or open space is ideal.
The breathing point
Keep the dehleez clean daily. Use a bandhanwar, swastik and Om. Open the door fully, inwards and clockwise.

Gemstones for the nine planets
Each graha has its own ratna. The right stone strengthens a weak but helpful planet. The wrong stone can strengthen a harmful one, so we recommend gems only after checking your kundli.
| Graha | Ratna | Gemstone | Usual finger · day |
|---|---|---|---|
| Surya (Sun) | Manik | Ruby | Ring · Sunday |
| Chandra (Moon) | Moti | Pearl | Little · Monday |
| Mangal (Mars) | Moonga | Red coral | Ring · Tuesday |
| Budh (Mercury) | Panna | Emerald | Little · Wednesday |
| Guru (Jupiter) | Pukhraj | Yellow sapphire | Index · Thursday |
| Shukra (Venus) | Heera / Opal | Diamond or opal | Middle or ring · Friday |
| Shani (Saturn) | Neelam | Blue sapphire | Middle · Saturday |
| Rahu | Gomed | Hessonite | Middle · Saturday |
| Ketu | Lehsunia | Cat's eye | Little · Tuesday |
Do not wear Neelam or Gomed without a chart check. We tell you the stone, weight in ratti, metal and the right muhurat to wear it.

Jyotish basics
12 houses and 9 planets
Every kundli has twelve houses (bhava) and nine planets (graha). Each house rules one area of life. Each planet brings its own nature to the house it sits in.
12 Bhava (houses)
| # | Bhava | Signifies | Natural rashi | Lord | Direction | Karaka |
|---|
Direction follows the natural rashi of each house: fire signs East, earth signs South, air signs West, water signs North. In your own kundli, the lord of each house depends on your lagna.
9 Graha (planets)
| Graha | Direction | Owns | Exalted · Debilitated | Day · colour | Dasha (years) | Signifies |

12 Rashi and the body
Each rashi rules a part of the body, from Mesh at the head down to Meen at the feet. A troubled rashi or its lord points to the body area to look after.

Swar Vigyan · Yoga
Chandra and Surya nadi
Swar Vigyan is the yogic science of breath. At any moment one nostril flows more freely than the other. The left is Chandra nadi (Ida), the right is Surya nadi (Pingala). Yogis match daily work to the flowing swar.
Chandra nadi · Ida
Left nostril · cool · calm · Moon energy
Good for- Griha pravesh, marriage and other auspicious beginnings
- Buying jewellery, property and lasting things
- Meeting elders, gurus and making peace
- Study, writing, music, art and charity
- Drinking water and calm, steady work
Surya nadi · Pingala
Right nostril · warm · active · Sun energy
Good for- Eating meals and digestion
- Exercise, sports and physical work
- Business deals, negotiation and debate
- Difficult study, technical and hard tasks
- Bathing and quick, bold action
Check your swar
- Close the right nostril with your thumb and breathe out through the left. Then switch sides.
- The side that flows more freely is your active swar.
- The flow changes on its own every one to two hours.
- To open the left nostril, lie on your right side for a few minutes, and the other way round.
At sunrise, tradition says Chandra swar should flow on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, and Surya swar on Sunday, Tuesday and Saturday. The panchang above shows today's expected swar.
Pranayama for the nadis
Anulom Vilom
Alternate nostril breathing. Balances Ida and Pingala. 5 to 10 minutes daily.
Chandra Bhedan
Breathe in through the left, out through the right. Cooling and calming for anger, heat and stress.
Surya Bhedan
Breathe in through the right, out through the left. Warming and energising for low energy and cold.
Bhramari
Humming breath with closed ears. Quietens the mind before meditation or sleep.
Learn pranayama from a trained teacher. If you have high blood pressure, heart disease or are pregnant, avoid Surya Bhedan and breath-holding, and check with your doctor first.

Vedic Astrology (Parashari)
Parashari Jyotish reads the sidereal (Lahiri) chart. The Lagna shows the body and life direction, the Moon shows the mind, and the Vimshottari dasha shows when promises in the chart come to life.
1 · How to read a chart in 7 steps
Steps
- Check Lagna, its lord and planets in the 1st.
- Check Moon sign and nakshatra (mind, dasha).
- See each house: its lord, occupants and aspects.
- Judge strength: dignity, house, combust, retrograde.
- Find yogas (Raja, Dhana, Mahapurusha) and doshas.
- Confirm in Navamsa (D9) and the relevant varga.
- Time with Vimshottari dasha and Jupiter–Saturn transit.
House groups
- Kendra 1, 4, 7, 10: strength and pillars.
- Trikona 1, 5, 9: luck, dharma, merit.
- Dusthana 6, 8, 12: struggle, change, loss.
- Upachaya 3, 6, 10, 11: improve with time.
- Maraka 2, 7 · Artha 2, 6, 10 · Moksha 4, 8, 12.
Functional nature
- Trikona lords are always good; kendra lords become neutral.
- A planet owning a kendra and a trikona is a Yogakaraka (e.g. Saturn for Tula and Vrishabh lagna).
- Lords of 3, 6, 11 are troublesome; 8th lord is a hidden obstacle.
2 · Planet dignity
| Graha | Exalted (deep °) | Debilitated | Moolatrikona | Own signs | Friends | Enemies |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Surya | Mesh 10° | Tula | Simha 0–20° | Simha | Moon, Mars, Jupiter | Venus, Saturn |
| Chandra | Vrishabh 3° | Vrishchik | Vrishabh 4–30° | Kark | Sun, Mercury | None |
| Mangal | Makar 28° | Kark | Mesh 0–12° | Mesh, Vrishchik | Sun, Moon, Jupiter | Mercury |
| Budh | Kanya 15° | Meen | Kanya 16–20° | Mithun, Kanya | Sun, Venus | Moon |
| Guru | Kark 5° | Makar | Dhanu 0–10° | Dhanu, Meen | Sun, Moon, Mars | Mercury, Venus |
| Shukra | Meen 27° | Kanya | Tula 0–15° | Vrishabh, Tula | Mercury, Saturn | Sun, Moon |
| Shani | Tula 20° | Mesh | Kumbh 0–20° | Makar, Kumbh | Mercury, Venus | Sun, Moon, Mars |
| Rahu / Ketu | Vrishabh / Vrishchik | Vrishchik / Vrishabh | — | — | Act like their sign lord | — |
3 · Aspects (drishti) and states
Graha drishti
- Every planet aspects the 7th from itself.
- Mars also 4th and 8th · Jupiter 5th and 9th · Saturn 3rd and 10th.
- Rahu and Ketu are often given 5th and 9th aspects.
Strength checks
- Combust near the Sun loses strength (Moon 12°, Mars 17°, Mercury 14°, Jupiter 11°, Venus 10°, Saturn 15°).
- Retrograde planets act strongly but in delayed or repeated ways.
- Dig bala: Jupiter, Mercury in 1st; Sun, Mars in 10th; Saturn in 7th; Moon, Venus in 4th.
Neecha Bhanga
- A debilitated planet's fall is cancelled when its sign lord or exaltation lord is in a kendra from Lagna or Moon.
- Cancelled debility can give a strong rise after struggle.
4 · Important yogas
Pancha Mahapurusha
- Mars, Mercury, Jupiter, Venus or Saturn in own or exalted sign in a kendra.
- Ruchaka (Mars) · Bhadra (Mercury) · Hamsa (Jupiter) · Malavya (Venus) · Shasha (Saturn).
Raja and Dhana yoga
- Raja yoga: kendra lord linked with trikona lord (conjunction, aspect or exchange).
- Dhana yoga: links among lords of 1, 2, 5, 9, 11.
- Vipreet Raja yoga: lords of 6, 8, 12 in each other's houses.
Moon and Sun yogas
- Gaja Kesari: Jupiter in a kendra from the Moon.
- Budhaditya: Sun with Mercury (Mercury not deeply combust).
- Kemadruma: no planet in 2nd or 12th from Moon (cancelled by kendra planets).
- Chandra–Mangal: Moon with Mars, earning through effort.
5 · Doshas
Manglik dosha
- Mars in 1, 2, 4, 7, 8 or 12 from Lagna (also seen from Moon and Venus).
- Reduced when both partners are Manglik or Mars is in own or exalted sign.
Kaal Sarp
- All seven planets between Rahu and Ketu on one side.
- Shows struggle and delay, then sudden rise. Judge the whole chart before fearing it.
Sade Sati
- Saturn transiting 12th, 1st and 2nd from the Moon, about 7½ years.
- Also see Kantak (4th) and Ashtama (8th) Shani.
Pitru dosha
- Sun or 9th house afflicted by Rahu or Saturn.
- Remedies: shraddh, tarpan, feeding Brahmins and cows.
6 · Divisional charts (varga)
| Chart | Name | Used for | Chart | Name | Used for |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| D1 | Rashi | Body, whole life | D12 | Dwadashamsha | Parents |
| D2 | Hora | Wealth | D16 | Shodashamsha | Vehicles, comforts |
| D3 | Drekkana | Siblings, courage | D20 | Vimshamsha | Spiritual practice |
| D4 | Chaturthamsha | Property, home | D24 | Chaturvimshamsha | Education |
| D7 | Saptamsha | Children | D30 | Trimshamsha | Misfortune, illness |
| D9 | Navamsa | Spouse, dharma, planet strength | D60 | Shashtiamsha | Past karma (needs exact time) |
| D10 | Dashamsha | Career, status |
7 · Vimshottari dasha (120 years)
Order and years
- Ketu 7 → Venus 20 → Sun 6 → Moon 10 → Mars 7 → Rahu 18 → Jupiter 16 → Saturn 19 → Mercury 17.
- The first dasha is the lord of the Moon's nakshatra; the balance depends on how far the Moon has moved through it.
Reading a dasha
- The dasha lord gives results of the houses it owns and occupies, and of its nakshatra lord.
- Antardasha lord's relation to the Mahadasha lord (6/8 or 2/12 = friction; kendra/trikona = smooth).
- Events happen when dasha and transit agree (Jupiter–Saturn double transit).
Gochar (transit) from Moon
- Good houses: Sun 3, 6, 10, 11 · Moon 1, 3, 6, 7, 10, 11 · Mars 3, 6, 11 · Mercury 2, 4, 6, 8, 10, 11 · Jupiter 2, 5, 7, 9, 11 · Venus 1–5, 8, 9, 11, 12 · Saturn, Rahu, Ketu 3, 6, 11.
- Check vedha (obstruction) and Ashtakavarga bindus.
Use the Kundli section on this site to see your D1, D9, dasha, transit and Ashtakavarga while you study these rules.
Phalit Jyotish (फलित ज्योतिष)
Predictive astrology in four steps: know the rashis and grahas, judge each planet by the houses it owns, find the yogas, then time them with dasha and gochar. Always read the chart from Lagna, Moon and Navamsha together.
1 · Good and bad lordships
Kendra and Trikona
- Kendra 1, 4, 7, 10 = Vishnu sthan.
- Trikona 1, 5, 9 = Lakshmi sthan. The Lagna is both, so the Lagna lord is always helpful.
- A kendra lord joined with, exchanging with or aspecting a trikona lord = Raj yoga (Lakshmi-Narayan yoga). It gives results in the dashas of those planets.
- Malefics owning trikonas give good results. Malefics owning kendras lose their harm.
Yogakaraka
- One planet owning a kendra and a trikona is a yogakaraka on its own.
- Vrishabh and Tula lagna: Shani.
- Kark and Simha lagna: Mangal.
- Makar and Kumbh lagna: Shukra.
- Only Shani, Mangal and Shukra can become yogakaraka.
Kendradhipatya dosha
- Natural benefics owning kendras stop giving good results and become neutral.
- Mithun and Kanya lagna: Guru (7th/10th, 4th/7th).
- Dhanu and Meen lagna: Budh (7th/10th, 4th/7th).
- Strength of the dosha, highest first: Shukra, Guru, Budh, Chandra. A weak Moon owning a kendra is neutral.
Trishadaya and neutral houses
- Lords of 3, 6 and 11 give bad results. The 11th lord is the strongest of them.
- Lords of 2, 8 and 12 give results through their association and placement. The 8th lord is the strongest.
- An 8th lord that also owns 3, 6 or 11 becomes clearly harmful.
| Lagna type | Badhak house | Lagna → Badhak sign → Badhak lord |
|---|---|---|
| Char (movable) | 11th | Mesh → Kumbh → Shani · Kark → Vrishabh → Shukra · Tula → Simha → Surya · Makar → Vrishchik → Mangal |
| Sthir (fixed) | 9th | Vrishabh → Makar → Shani · Simha → Mesh → Mangal · Vrishchik → Kark → Chandra · Kumbh → Tula → Shukra |
| Dwiswabhav (dual) | 7th | Mithun → Dhanu → Guru · Kanya → Meen → Guru · Dhanu → Mithun → Budh · Meen → Kanya → Budh |
2 · Aspects (Drishti)
Full aspects
- Every planet aspects the 7th house from itself.
- Mangal also aspects the 4th and 8th. Guru the 5th and 9th. Shani the 3rd and 10th.
- Rahu and Ketu are commonly read with the 5th and 9th aspect.
Pada (partial) aspects
- 3rd and 10th = ¼ strength.
- 5th and 9th = ½ strength.
- 4th and 8th = ¾ strength.
- 7th = full strength.
Planet relationships
- Conjunction in one house.
- Exchange of signs (parivartan).
- One planet in the other's nakshatra.
- Mutual kendra or trikona, or mutual aspect.
3 · Gandmool and Gandant
Gandmool nakshatras
- Ashwini pada 1, Ashlesha pada 4, Magha pada 1.
- Jyeshtha pada 4, Mool pada 1, Revati pada 4.
- These are the junctions of water and fire signs. A Gandmool shanti puja is advised.
Gandant (junction)
- Last navamsha of Kark and first of Simha.
- Last navamsha of Vrishchik and first of Dhanu.
- Last navamsha of Meen and first of Mesh.
- Benefic aspect on Lagna or Moon removes the fear.
4 · Special yogas (विशेष योग)
Moon yogas
- Sunapha: a planet (not the Sun) in the 2nd from the Moon.
- Anapha: a planet in the 12th from the Moon.
- Durudhara: planets on both sides of the Moon.
- Kemadruma: none on either side – struggle. Cancelled (bhang) by planets in kendra from Lagna or Moon.
- Gajakesari: Guru in a kendra from the Moon.
Sun and Lagna yogas
- Vesi: a planet (not the Moon) in the 2nd from the Sun.
- Vasi: a planet in the 12th from the Sun.
- Ubhayachari: planets on both sides of the Sun.
- Amala: only a benefic in the 10th from Lagna or Moon – lasting good name.
- Lagnadhi: benefics in the 6th, 7th and 8th from Lagna.
Pancha Mahapurusha
- Planet in own or exaltation sign in a kendra:
- Ruchak – Mangal: courage, leadership.
- Bhadra – Budh: intellect, speech, trade.
- Hamsa – Guru: wisdom, respect.
- Malavya – Shukra: comfort, arts, beauty.
- Shasha – Shani: authority over many people.
Vipareet and Neechabhang
- Vipareet raj yoga: lords of 6, 8, 12 in 6, 8 or 12 – rise after trouble. Harsha (6th), Sarala (8th), Vimala (12th).
- Neechabhang: debilitation cancelled when the sign lord or exaltation lord of the fallen planet is in a kendra from Lagna or Moon.
- Also check Kedar, Sakat, Mahabhagya, Saraswati and Lakshmi yogas.
5 · Special points
Indu lagna (wealth)
- Kalas: Surya 30, Chandra 16, Mangal 8, Budh 6, Guru 10, Shukra 12, Shani 1.
- Add the kala of the 9th lord from Lagna and the 9th lord from the Moon.
- Divide the total by 12 and keep the remainder.
- Count that many signs from the Moon: that is Indu lagna. Benefics there, or in a kendra to it, give wealth.
Pushkar navamsha
- Fire signs: 20°–23°20′ and 26°40′–30°.
- Earth signs: 6°40′–10° and 13°20′–16°40′.
- Air signs: 16°40′–20° and 23°20′–26°40′.
- Water signs: 0°–3°20′ and 6°40′–10°.
- Any planet here gives good results. Useful in muhurat and prashna too.
Judging a chart (Jatak nirnay)
- Take the house, its lord and its karaka.
- Read them from Lagna, Moon and Sun.
- Confirm in Navamsha (D9) and the relevant varga, e.g. D12 for parents.
- Find the yogas, then time them with dasha and gochar.
- Results depend on the native's own karma and effort.
Navamsha rule: a planet in the same sign in D1 and D9 (vargottama) is strong. A good D1 promise with a weak D9 gives results that do not last.
Spiritual Vedic Astrology
The chart is a map of the soul's journey. The zodiac is the body of Kala Purusha (the Cosmic Man), from Mesh as the head to Meen as the feet. Each person is a small copy of this cosmic order, and planets show how far the soul has matured.
1 · Four groups of houses
Cardinal houses 1 · 4 · 7 · 10
- The field of action in the outer world.
- Strong planets here give Pancha Mahapurusha yoga and visible greatness.
Spiritual triangle 1 · 5 · 9
- Creativity, dharma and growth of the soul.
- Planets influencing these houses always lean towards good results.
Triangle of materiality 3 · 7 · 11
- Desire, enjoyment and comforts of life.
- It balances the spiritual triangle; it is not a house of misery.
Mysterious depth 2 · 6 · 8 · 12
- The hidden store of karma from which life arises and into which it dissolves.
- The 12th also shows final liberation (moksha).
2 · Ten rules of interpretation
| # | Rule | How to use it |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Planetary strength shows the maturity of the soul | Exalted, own-sign and well-placed planets show faculties already developed in past lives. |
| 2 | The Lagna lord is the guardian angel | A strong Lagna lord protects through every storm, even when it also owns the 8th. |
| 3 | Harmony of Sun, Moon and Lagna shows an integrated self | Soul (Sun), mind (Moon) and body (Lagna) should support each other. |
| 4 | Benefics show opportunities, malefics show obstacles | See which houses hold benefics and which hold malefics. |
| 5 | Bhog yoni and karma yoni | Most planets below the horizon (houses 1–6) = reaping past karma. Above (7–12) = making new karma. |
| 6 | Bhavat bhavam | Judge a house also from the same house counted from it, e.g. 3rd from the 3rd = 5th. |
| 7 | Rahu and Ketu are karmic and unavoidable | Their results are sudden and hard to explain. Handle with patience and remedies. |
| 8 | Judge from Lagna, Moon and Sun | Confirm any prediction from all three before giving a final answer. |
| 9 | The dispositor rules the result | A planet gives results coloured by the lord of the sign it sits in. |
| 10 | Patterns show life's main problems | Mesh–Kark are rajasic, Simha–Vrishchik tamasic, Dhanu–Meen sattvic. See where the planets cluster. |
3 · Special combinations
Avatar / Amshavatar yoga
- Shows an evolved soul born with a mission.
- Signs: detachment, deep wisdom and service without wanting reward.
Raj yogas
- 9th and 10th lords together in the 9th or 10th.
- Any kendra lord linked with any trikona lord.
- 9th lord with the Atmakaraka in the Lagna.
- Spoiled when the yoga planets are combust, debilitated or badly placed in Navamsha.
Kalasarpa yoga
- All seven planets between Rahu and Ketu.
- Not simply good or bad: shows strong karmic tests and delays.
- Results improve with effort, faith and Rahu–Ketu remedies.
Graha Upay (ग्रह उपाय)
Remedies for a weak or troubled planet. Daan, mantra and vrat are safe for everyone. A gemstone strengthens a planet, so wear one only after a chart check. A stone for the wrong planet can make things worse.
| Graha | Ratna (gem) | Jadi (root) | Daan (donation) | Beej mantra | Vrat and other upay |

Jyotish Basics (ज्योतिष परिचय)
Jyotish means "light of God" (ज्योति + ईश). It is called the eye of the Vedas because it shows past, present and future. A kundli is a map of the sky at the moment of birth: 12 bhavas, 12 rashis, 27 nakshatras and 9 grahas.

KP Astrology (Krishnamurti Paddhati)
KP was given by Prof. K.S. Krishnamurti (1908–1972). It is a nakshatra-based system. A planet gives the results of its star lord. Houses come from Placidus cusps, and the sub lord of each cusp decides whether an event is promised.
1 · Foundations
Zodiac maths
- 360° = 12 rashis of 30° = 27 nakshatras of 13°20′.
- 1 nakshatra = 4 padas of 3°20′; 1 rashi = 2¼ nakshatras = 9 padas.
- Each nakshatra is split into 9 subs in Vimshottari proportion. The sub is the backbone of KP.
Rashi groups
- Fire 1,5,9 · Earth 2,6,10 · Air 3,7,11 · Water 4,8,12.
- Movable 1,4,7,10 · Fixed 2,5,8,11 · Dual 3,6,9,12.
- Fruitful 4,8,12 · Barren 1,3,5,6 · Mute 4,8,12 · Voice 3,7,11.
House groups
- Kendra 1,4,7,10 · Maraka 2,7 · Trik 6,8,12.
- Upachaya 3,6,10,11 (improve with time).
- Trishadaya 3,6,11 (desire, anger, greed).
Planets in KP
- No planet is good or bad by itself. It is judged by its star lord's occupancy and ownership.
- Saturn = delay; Mercury = multiplicity (dual planet).
- Conjunction orb: Sun 6°40′, others 3°20′.
2 · How a planet gives results
O1 · O2 theory
- O1 Occupancy: the house a planet sits in (KP cusp chart).
- O2 Ownership: houses whose cusps fall in its signs.
- Occupancy is stronger than ownership.
- Rahu/Ketu: use the sign they occupy in the D1 chart.
Order of significators
- Occupancy of the star lord
- Occupancy of the planet
- Ownership of the star lord
- Ownership of the planet
Example: Mercury in 8th, owns 1,2,5, star lord Sun in 9th owning 4 → 9, 8, 4, 1, 2, 5.
Eight basic rules
- 12th from any house negates it (exceptions: 10→11, 4→5, 3→4 for vehicle).
- 8 and 12 show obstacles; together, disaster.
- Use D1 for the sign, KP chart for the house.
- Planets also give results of conjunctions and aspects.
Is the event promised?
- Find the primary cusp (marriage = 7).
- Note its cuspal sub lord (CSL).
- Note the CSL's star lord; read its houses.
- Event happens in the dasha of planets signifying the house group.
3 · Bhavat Bhavam (house from house)
| Matter | Self | Spouse (from 7) | Father (from 9) | Mother (from 4) |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Wealth | 2 | 8 | 10 | 5 |
| Property | 4 | 10 | 12 | 7 |
| Disease | 6 | 12 | 2 | 9 |
| Gain | 11 | 5 | 7 | 2 |
| Status | 10 | 4 | 6 | 1 |
| Maraka | 2, 7 | 8, 1 | 10, 3 | 5, 10 |
| Loss | 12 | 6 | 8 | 3 |
2nd from 2nd = 3rd (speech → communication).
4 · Primary cusps and house groups
| Event | Primary cusp | Positive houses | Negative houses |
|---|---|---|---|
| Primary education | 4 | 4, 6, 10, 11 | 3, 8 (3, 5, 8) |
| Higher education | 9 | 4, 9, 11 | 3, 8, 12 |
| Wealth | 2 | 2, 6, 11 (+10 status) | 5, 8, 12 |
| Job | 6 | 2, 6, 10, 11 | 5 (loss), 9 (status change) |
| Business | 7 | 2, 10, 11 (+6) | 5, 8, 12 |
| Profession / promotion | 10 | 2, 6, 10, 11 (+3 transfer, +4 no transfer) | 5, 8, 9 (loss of job) |
| Marriage | 7 | 2, 7, 11 | 1, 6, 10 |
| Love affair | 5 | 2, 5, 7, 11 | 4, 6, 10 |
| Child birth (female) | 5 | 2, 5, 11 | 1, 4, 10 (+8, 12) |
| Fertility (male) | 11 | 2, 5, 11 | 1, 4, 10 |
5 · Event rules (CSL in its star lord signifies…)
Education
- 4th CSL: 4,6,11 best; 4,6,10,11 distinction; 4,11 college admission.
- 3,8 = no interest, breaks. 3rd can mean hostel or online study.
- 9th CSL 4,9,11 = higher studies. 12th CSL 3,9,12 + 4 = study abroad.
- Saturn as 12th CSL with 1,12 = PhD, research.
Finance
- 2nd CSL: 2 average · 2,6 good · 2,11 very good · 2,6,11 excellent.
- 5,8 money stuck · 8,12 loss · 5,8,12 bankruptcy.
- Use the 12th by investing; use the 8th through the spouse's name.
- CSL in movable sign: money flows in and out; fixed: slow and steady.
Job & business
- Compare 6th and 7th CSL: whichever shows more 2,6,10,11 decides job or business.
- 10th CSL 2,6,10,11 = promotion; 1,5,9 = suspension.
- Career field: nakshatra of the 10th CSL's star lord.
Marriage
- Saturn as 7th CSL = late marriage (after 29–32) or larger age gap.
- 7th CSL connected to Mercury/Jupiter or a dual sign (3, 9, 12) + 2, 11 = second marriage.
- 5th CSL 2,5,7,11 = love marriage; with Rahu/Ketu = inter-community.
- 7th CSL 6,10 or 1,6,10 = denial; check carefully before saying no.
Child birth
- 5th CSL 2,5,11 / 3,5,11 = safe, normal delivery.
- 4,8,12 with Mars or Ketu = delivery by operation.
- 1,4,10 = adoption; with 8, 12 + Mars, Ketu = denial.
- Jupiter is the karaka but must not link to 6, 8, 12. Never predict the baby's gender.
Children in a female chart
- 1st child 5th · 2nd 7th · 3rd 9th · 4th 11th · 5th 2nd.
- In a male chart, all children are read from the 11th.
- CSL in a barren sign (1,3,5,6) = no further child after that one.
6 · Birth time rectification and ruling planets
Ruling planets (RP)
- Lagna: sign lord, star lord, sub lord.
- Moon: sign lord, star lord, sub lord.
- Day lord (Sun = Sunday … Saturn = Saturday).
Checks for birth time
- At least 3–4 of 7 birth RPs match the RPs at judgement time.
- Birth Lagna planets vs current Moon co-lords (or the reverse): at least one match.
- Current Moon's star lord is among birth Lagna planets.
- DNA test: Lagna planets match 9th house planets.
- 1st CSL in odd sign = male chart, even sign = female.
When BTR fails
- Cuspal sub lords are the most time-sensitive; match each with life events.
- KS Krishnamurti recommended horary (number 1–249) for exact answers.
7 · Planet keywords
These rules are used in the KP charts on this website: the KP cusp table shows each cusp's sub lord, and the house significators table shows the four levels used above.
Jaimini Sthir Dasha se Bhavishyavani
Sthir (fixed) dasha is a rashi dasha that runs from the sign holding Brahma. It times good events too (marriage, children, jobs, transfers), not only crises, and works best alongside Vimshottari and Niryana Shoola dasha.
Brahma · Rudra · Maheshwar
- Brahma: take the stronger of Lagna and 7th; from it, the strongest lord of the 6th, 8th or 12th (not Saturn, Rahu or Ketu).
- Rudra: stronger of the 2nd and 8th lords from lagna.
- Maheshwar: lord of the 8th from the Atmakaraka.
Dasha years
- Movable signs 7 years, fixed 8, dual 9.
- Starts at Brahma's sign and moves forward.
- 12 antardashas of 7, 8 or 9 months, starting with the same sign.
Seven chara karakas
- Rank planets by degrees in sign: AK, AmK, BK, MK, PK, GK, DK.
- AK = self; AmK = career, wealth; BK = siblings, guru; MK = mother, home; PK = children, intellect; GK = enemies, disease; DK = spouse, trade.
Reading a dasha
- Treat the dasha sign as lagna and see which karakas sit in or aspect it.
- Signs under Rudra or Maheshwar's influence suffer.
- Confirm events with the Jupiter + Saturn double transit.
Sign results (Jaimini)
- Tula: most auspicious, all-round rise.
- Kumbh, Meen: spiritual rise, charity.
- Dhanu: sudden rise and accidents.
- Makar: change of home, marriage, birth or death.
Case studies
- One chart for each of the 12 lagnas.
- Nehru, Swami Vivekananda, Prabhupada, J.F. Kennedy, Chaudhary Charan Singh, Independent India, Congress (I), BJP.
Jaimini Jyotish se Phalit
A practical manual covering Jaimini basics, argala and ten rashi dashas, each with worked charts (Indira Gandhi, Obama, Queen Elizabeth II, Rajesh Khanna, K.M. Munshi, Saddam Hussein and others).
How Jaimini differs
- Signs aspect signs; planets do not have their own aspects.
- Karakas vary by degree (chara karakas).
- Dashas are sign-based, not Moon-nakshatra based.
- Karakamsha lagna = destiny; lagna = desire; Arudha lagna = image in society.
Arudha & Upapada
- Count from a house to its lord, then the same count again from the lord.
- Arudha of lagna = AL (pada lagna).
- Arudha of the 12th = Upapada (UL), used for marriage.
Argala (intervention)
- Planets in the 2nd, 4th and 11th give argala; the 12th, 10th and 3rd obstruct.
- The 5th is obstructed by the 9th.
- 3+ malefics in the 3rd give unobstructed (vipreet) argala.
- Clean argala on the 1st, 5th or 9th brings fame.
Jaimini rajyogas
- Any two of AK, AmK, PK, DK and the 5th lord joined or in mutual aspect.
- Moon with Venus; many planets aspecting the Moon.
- AmK in kendra, trikona or 11th from AK = success with less struggle.
Special lagnas
- Hora lagna: 1 sign per hour from sunrise.
- Ghatika lagna: 1 sign per 24 minutes.
- Varnada lagna; Dwara (dasha sign) and Bahya (as far from Dwara as Dwara is from lagna).
Dasha test
- The lord of the event house must be the karaka for that event, or join or aspect the dasha sign.
- Always check argala on the dasha sign.
Jaimini Char Dasha se Bhavishyavani
This method combines Chara dasha with Vimshottari (the "combined technique"). It covers education, love and marriage, amatyakaraka, rajyogas, Atmakaraka dasha and a warning about Dhanu dasha.
Direction of the dasha
- Look at the 9th sign from lagna.
- 9th is Mesh, Vrishabh, Mithun, Tula, Vrishchik or Dhanu → direct (savya).
- Otherwise → reverse (apsavya).
Years of each sign
- Count from the sign to its lord (direct for savya signs, reverse for apsavya signs), then subtract 1.
- Lord in its own sign = 12 years. Never 0.
- No extra year for exalted or debilitated lords.
Vrishchik & Kumbh rule
- Vrishchik has Mars and Ketu; Kumbh has Saturn and Rahu.
- If one co-lord is in the sign, count to the other.
- Both in the sign = 12 years. Otherwise take the stronger: the one with planets, then higher degrees.
Antardasha
- Same direction as the mahadasha.
- The mahadasha sign's own antar comes last.
- Each antar = mahadasha years in months.
Marriage checklist
- Lagna and 7th; the DK sign and its 7th.
- Upapada and its 7th; Darapada (pada of the 7th lord) and its 7th.
- DK's navamsha sign marked on the birth chart.
- Rahu–Ketu axis; dasha sign with DK in the 5th.
Warnings
- Dhanu MD or AD often shows accidents or violent events, to the native or family.
- Simha and Dhanu both show sharp rise and fall.
- Never predict harm without confirming in navamsha and Vimshottari.
| Lagna | Order | Lagna | Order | Lagna | Order |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Mesh | Direct | Simha | Direct | Dhanu | Reverse |
| Vrishabh | Reverse | Kanya | Direct | Makar | Reverse |
| Mithun | Reverse | Tula | Direct | Kumbh | Direct |
| Kark | Reverse | Vrishchik | Reverse | Meen | Direct |
Fixed karakas: stronger of Sun/Venus = father, Moon/Venus = mother, Mars = younger siblings, Mercury = uncles and aunts, Jupiter = paternal grandfather, Venus = spouse, Saturn = sons.
